October 2007 - Groundfloor Restaurant and Nightclub Complete

Rockford Companies and BETA Design announced the completion of Churchill's restaurant and Moxies night club on the ground floor of the 70 Ionia Building in downtown Grand Rapids. Churchill’s Bar & Bistro is located in the front portion of the suite and the Moxie Nightclub in the back portion. The two spaces, along with a shared kitchen, will make up the entire 9,750 square feet of the first floor suite. This building, housing Class A office space, has become a visual icon for the Cherry Street Landing District. Its architectural appeal, functionality and efficiency are keystones to the buildings presence in the thriving downtown neighborhood.

September 2007 - JW Marriott Luxury Hotel Complete and Open

An official dedication for the new JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids was held on September 19 for invited guests. It was followed by a reception and guided tours of the 24-story, 340-room luxury hotel. It was designed by BETA Design inconjunction with Goettsch Partners of Chicago. BETA Design also provided interior design services for the project, along with Brennan Beer Gorman Monk Interiors of New York City.
